Hello, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and the start of a blessed holiday season. I know for many this can be a time of many emotions, so happy, some sad. I wish you the best during this season and if I can help -- please don't hesitate to call me, even if it is just to talk.

We have been VERY busy with listing new businesses. We just listed a group of 3 Asian Restaurants ($550k with $220k net profit) and a Facility Management business ($225k with $110k net profit). I have full financials on all of theses and complete offering memo as well. These just went live today and the NDA's will be ready shortly. If you have anyone that might be interested, please call me or email for the NDA's.

As always, I am constantly learning something new, here are things I think are worth sharing:

1. Jacksonville has a new Christmas attraction, The Enchanted Christmas. It is located at the Keeler property (off Nomandy) and Anne Urban (WBO member) together with Diana Fanning (owner of Keeler Property) has put together a magical display including a $100k Christmas tree. It is the next best thing to Disney here in Jacksonville. It is truly a must see event.

2. The new minimum Salary Law was upheld (for now) and will not start on Dec 1, but on a webinar by Suzi Lemen of DCSI and with Mark Addington (attorney) they mentioned, there could be a retroactive clause that rolls it back to a Dec 1 start date at a later time. So what does this mean? Talk with your HR coordinator and Attorney to make sure you are in compliance if it rolls back. This is a VERY uncertain time, but there could be HUGE fines and penalties for not being in compliant.

3. Worker's Comp rate hike back on. The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) filed an appeal today to the ruling last week that invalidated the 14.5% rate hike set to take effect on Thursday.  This appeal has the practical effect of setting aside the ruling from last week while the appeals court looks at the case.  The rate hike will take effect on December 1st, as scheduled by OIR.

4. In the book, How we love, the authors explain the 5 love styles that could be harming your relationships. They have identified one question that could predict the fate of your relationship: Do you remember being comforted as a child? Those that answer "no" are 75% more likely to struggle in relationships. WOW....

5. Planning for Project SOS (a local non-profit teaching life skills to kids) Grand Gala (March 18th) is well underway. As the chairperson, I am still looking for 3-4 people that would willing to donate 3-5 days in their vacation home for the live auction. If you have a vacation home, please contact me. Also, we are looking for all kinds of silent auction items. If you would like to donate, please reach out to me.

If you have something worth sharing, please send it to me, I'd love to share it.

Thanks for reading and Happy Holidays to you and your family!

I'm never too busy for your referrals,
