Hello and Happy Summer. The kids are on summer break and the warm weather is here (along with the summer rains).

When your business slows down during the summer, this is a great time to implement business improvement ideas or to read some business building books. So the tips this month will help you improve your business and "sharpen your saw".  Feel free to share these with your clients as well.

Here are some insights that I thought were worth sharing to help you grow your business:

1. Google Reviews can drastically increase your online responses. This is PURE GOLD! Set up your Google Local Business account and verify the account. Make sure to ask your clients to leave you a review. Mike Simmons, who does video and online marketing work for me, has set up a special program for local listing optimization for anyone on this newsletter (or any of your clients).

2. Wally Conway is conducting a BOLD business development event on June 13th (for free). This is top ranked training program to move business owners to the next level of thinking. Here from 3 business owners that have broken through and how they did it. This is a great way to start your summer! I hope you will join me there.

3.  OverDrive  and Axis 360 are apps that will allow you to "borrow" ebooks and audio books (FREE) from the library. A great low cost way to grow your online library. Of course, you can always use Audible (paid) to listen to your favorite books while walking, running or hanging out at the beach this summer. New thoughts create new opportunities.

4.  Fine tune your hiring process, by refining your hiring protocal with behavioral questions. Make sure to update your job desciptions. If you need help, give Suzi Lemen's team at Dynamic Corporate Solutions a call. Also, consider modifying your hiring to include a personality profile to make sure you have a good fit. Dolly Penland of Predictive Results can help you there.

5. Here are some of my favorite business books that are worth checking out this summer: Bold, Presence, eMyth, and How to be a power connector.  Please send me your recommendations for summer reading. I am always looking for great books.

If you have something worth sharing, please send it to me, I'd love to share it.

Thanks for reading and Here's to a great Summer!

I'm never too busy for your referrals,
